The Dunning Centre for International Business Announces Anna D’Ambrosio as 2024-25 Dunning Fellow

The Dunning Centre for International Business at Henley Business School, University of Reading, is pleased to announce that the Dunning Fellow for the academic year 2024-25 is Anna D’Ambrosio, an accomplished scholar with expertise in international economics, economic geography, and labour economics.

Anna D’Ambrosio is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Applied Economics at the Polytechnic of Turin. She holds a PhD in Development Economics from the University of Trento, and her research has been widely recognised and published in prestigious international journals such as Research Policy, Journal of Regional Science, Regional Studies, Economic Geography, and Review of World Economics.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, D’Ambrosio is a fellow of various notable research institutes, including Visit INPS, IRCRES CNR, and LABOR. She has spent visiting research periods at the Institute for Employment Research (Germany) and Orkestra (Spain). Her recent work focuses on the measurement of de-globalisation and the analysis of how multinational enterprises’ sourcing strategies adapt to geopolitical shocks and regulatory changes—an area of growing relevance in today's global economic landscape.

A committee of distinguished scholars including Mark Casson, James Walker, Alain Verbeke, Davide Castellani, and Rajneesh Narula reviewed the applications for the Dunning Fellowship. Anna’s selection highlights her significant contributions to the field of international business, aligning with the Dunning Centre’s tradition of fostering multi-disciplinary and theory-driven research in the spirit of the Centre's founder, John Dunning.

The Dunning Fellowship programme is designed to provide early-to-mid career researchers with opportunities to visit and collaborate with academics at the Centre. Dunning Fellows are expected to engage actively in international business research and present at least one seminar during their time in residence (between September and July) at the Centre.
