Real Estate students celebrated at Royal Berkshire Property Awards

Berkshire Property Awards 107

On Wednesday 18 October 2023, former BSc Real Estate students were recognised at the premier event for the Thames Valley property industry, winning an award for the Best Final Year Undergraduate Development and Planning project.

Albie Adinall, George Kemp, and Max Mourgue were presented with the award by Victor Nicholls, Lecturer in Development and Planning at the Henley Business School, University of Reading. Graduating in 2023, all three students are working in London and returned to Reading to attend the event.

As part of their final year, studying for a BSc in Real Estate, the students worked as a team on a “real-world” project to identify a potential site in the Thames Valley, devising a substantial mixed use development proposal. They took on specialist roles covering land, planning and market analysis, financial viability, design, project management, marketing and disposal. Students submitted a comprehensive individual specialist report and presented their scheme to a panel of guests drawn from the industry.

Two other members of their winning group were unable to attend the event (Jack Bayes and Jamie Beck).
